This 53,000 s.f. facility is one of the four schools for seismic improvements considered on Charleston peninsula. The program will offer Montessori instruction for 350 students, ages K3 through grade 5.

The project maintains and rehabilitates the original 1919 façades of the original school building while new construction develops behind the façade.  In these recent construction photos, the steel bracing has been erected which was designed to stabilize the masonry facade while allowing foundation work to occur under and behind these existing walls.  New construction will build back to and include this historic facade, and it will receive new windows, new waterproofing, new insulation and repointing of the face brick.
